This resource contains 15 cards for children to discuss. The cards are 'what would you do if...' scenarios. The children should be thinking about the different community helpers who could help them in each situation and about what the appropriate response is. For example, if you graze your leg will have a different answer to if you find someone unconscious. PLEASE USE THE CARDS WITH YOU DEEM APPROPRIATE TO THE AGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE CHILDREN YOU WORK WITH.

This resource is about how we are all different and how we change. The resource starts off asking children to look at the similarities and differences between two cartoon characters and to look at themselves and a friend. Later, they survey the class to find out about differences such as looks, interests and tastes in food. Finally, the children start to look at how we change as we grow older and how they think they might be different when they get older. There is also some discussion of emotions and how we feel.
